The State Attorney’s Office will announce the decision at 2 p.m., according to multiple reports. State Attorney Willie Meggs will make the announcement at his Tallahassee office. On Monday, Meggs said he would not let football dictate when the investigation would be completed. In the Winter Express game mode, teams are tasked with taking control of a train that travels along the edge of Apex Legends’ map. Taking control of the holiday-themed train requires that player clear it of any opponents. As such, if an opposing player remains on the train, it’s placed in a contested state and won’t grant points to either team. All a player has to prevent another team from scoring or winning is stay on the train and not die....

Dr. Norman Cole, president of the ASPRS, has urged the organization’s 4,300 members to call on the government to remove FDA Commissioner Dr. David Kessler from the entire implant decisionmaking process. Bioware Studio Director Christian Dailey has stepped up to answer @DelaEadmer’s questions and gave insight on what PvP combat might look like in the upcoming Anthem overhaul. The Legion of Dawn Edition also includes four Legendary Armor Packs, a Legendary weapon, a Founders player banner, and the Anthem digital soundtrack… Not to worry, there are also rewards for pre-orders of the standard edition of the game… That is definitely a lot of loot for both in and out of the game, so it will be interesting to see how many consumers decide to pre-order the title and secure the rewards....

At just nine seconds long, the Anthem trailer below is the very definition of a tease. Little, if anything, can be drawn from the content of the teaser, which only briefly shows each of the game’s four Javelin exo-suits: the Ranger, Interceptor, Storm, and Colossus. The short animations for the Javelins aren’t anything Anthem followers haven’t seen before, but they do serve as a reminder that there’s plenty of Anthem left for BioWare left to unveil....

Anthem’s executive producer Mark Darrah was asked via Twitter whether BioWare is planning to share more information concerning the game’s storytelling and choices. Darrah responded with a definite confirmation saying, “yes we will talk storytelling at PAX West.” In recent months, BioWare has shared details on the game’s progress and announced during the last E3 that Anthem’s story is designed in a way that additional content can be added in the future....

Four Russian and foreign students, aged between 17 and 18, were arrested in the city of Ufa, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Bashkortostan in western Russia, according to local media reports. They are accused of organizing a terrorist act, state-run news outlet Kommersant reported, citing a press release from a district court. According to court papers, the teenagers attempted at least five times to damage railway electrical equipment in protest against the war, which began after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in February....

It’s no secret among most gamers that EA’s Star Wars Battlefront ventures did not go smoothly overall. The initial reboot of the series lacked many of the same features of the originals, and then when it seemed like Star Wars Battlefront 2 might expand the series to new heights, a progression system reliant on microtransactions and lootboxes soiled the game’s reputation out of the gate. In recent months, it’s been revealed that EA has no intention of making a Star Wars Battlefront 3 any time soon, and with the exclusivity contract coming to an end, the franchise might be better off in the hands of a different studio....

In the new Anthem gameplay footage, a team of four players teams up to locate the source of some poison as part of a story quest called Scars and Villainy. The group follows the trail, swimming through the water to a cavern deep below, only to discover a “Shaper relic” that’s giving off radiant energy; Echoes of something called the “anthem of creation.” The players must clear out the Scar patrols that are gathered around the site of the relic (including some very rowdy Scrappers) and collect these Echoes in order to proceed with the quest....
