The Anno series has always been praised for its addictive gameplay and high replayability. The latest game in the series is set in the exciting 19th century, which is known for being a time period that brought significant change in the world, featuring events such as the dawn of the industrial revolution and the rise of the free market system. Players in Anno 1800 have numerous opportunities to demonstrate their city building skills as they explore and settle the continents and influence their adversaries either through peaceful diplomacy or violent conflict....

How wonderful, then, that the authors of “The Preacher and the Presidents: Billy Graham in the White House” approach their task with such passionate inventiveness. Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy, both veterans at Time magazine, have that peculiar gift among newsmagazine writers for being able to shape masses of complex and contradictory information into a compelling narrative. Even better, they have sifted through all the source material—including never-before-published memos by Time correspondents—and packed their story full of details so delicious that even if you’ve read them before you’re happy to read them again....

Taking to Twitter to reveal new information about the upcoming open-world shooter, Anthem lead producer Mike Gamble revealed that BioWare has added a tethering mechanic to all missions in the game. While not going into too much detail, Gamble did confirm that the tethering is fairly forgiving, and is only in place for multiplayer missions and not when players are exploring the open world together in Freeplay mode. Naturally, at hearing the word tether, a few fans seemed to express concern, though Gamble was quick to explain why the team went in that direction....

After passing an abortion ban with the last-second addition of exceptions for rape or incest earlier this year, the House ultimately voted not to concur with their colleagues in the South Carolina Senate, even though the Senate bill closely mirrored the language of the legislation the House previously passed in an unrecorded voice vote. Shortly after Tuesday’s vote, House Speaker Murrell Smith tweeted a letter from several anti-abortion groups in the state opposing the bill on the grounds that the inclusion of exceptions for rape and incest as well as a Senate-backed provision covering fetal anomalies only served to weaken an existing six-week ban on abortions that also includes exemptions for rape and incest....
