Brown signed a one-year contract with the Patriots on Saturday hours after the Raiders cut him. When asked why Oakland released Brown following a series of issues with the wide receiver, coach Jon Gruden said, “We have just exhausted everything.”

The 31-year-old can’t officially sign with New England until Monday, but he was expected to join the team ahead of their “Sunday Night Football” game against his former team, the Steelers.
