There Be Giants seems to only be mentioned in Anthem’s initial load-in messages, but there’s a chance that the notification doesn’t show up for some. To confirm the event and track it, go into the Challenges menu, select Combat, and the There Be Giants event will be near the bottom.
It’s worth noting that tracking the There Be Giants event won’t help players find these four named Titans. Luckily, the War, Ruin, Bane, and Havoc Titans spawn from the exact same places on the map. While there are multiple spawns for different Titans, any given spot should respawn in just a matter of minutes. It’s just a matter of having a reference map handy and hunting them down. While not every spawn is noted on our map, it should be enough for players to complete the event.
Complete It Quick and Easy
As for tips regarding Anthem’s There Be Giants event itself, there are a few basic ideas that depend on what players want out of the event. If all one wants is to complete the event as fast as possible and get that unique Foundation vinyl, then set Freeplay to the Easy difficulty and get to it.
Even mid-level players should be able to solo the Titans on Easy, though at very low levels it will require some dodging. A lot of players are currently doing the Titan event, so it’s also useful to try and pair up with other players matched into Freeplay.
For Those Who Want a Challenge
For players that want more of a challenge, or the chance at some Masterwork loot drops from the Titans, forming a squad of friends is the way to go. Each Titan is alone, so there are no complications from other enemies. But in Freeplay, a Titan’s abilities are seemingly even laggier than normal, so it’s good to play it safe. Use ranged weapon and aim for the Titan’s flaming weak points, and always dodge early and use cover against the Titan’s fire abilities.
After completing the event and killing all four Titans, There Be Giants will automatically complete and put the Foundation vinyl into players’ collections. To see it on their Javelin, players just need to go to the Forge and check out the Vinyl option in the Appearances tab. It will likely be the first of many special event-only cosmetic awards as Anthem starts its first post-launch season of free content.
Anthem is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
