As it so happens, Holmes replied to a thread on Anthem’s official subreddit that asked if the map shown in the screenshot from user “SwellyNelly” was the going to be the game’s entire map, with the BioWare Technical Design Director confirming that aside from some segments of it that haven’t been shown, it’s basically the action-RPG’s whole world. According to Holmes, “There’s a bit missing at the top and bottom in this screen-grab though.”

Naturally, it’s difficult to determine exactly how big Anthem’s world will be and what its scope will actually feel like until the game is out next year, but the screenshot in the image below definitely provides fans with a solid ballpark estimation of the map’s size. Should one want to get a somewhat better understanding as to what a small fragment of the map will look like while Anthem is being played, one would do well to check out this hefty gameplay demo right here.

Beyond Anthem’s map size, there’s still plenty more to learn about the game before it officially hits store shelves toward the beginning of 2019, and it’s a safe bet to make that BioWare will continue to trickle out the details as it sees fit. With this being the case, one can only hope that the upcoming beta gives gamers a good dose of content that acts as a close representative of what the final version of the project will be like.

Anthem is set to launch on February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
